This mailing is to advise the public that we have prepared a draft National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit for the City of Charles Town, P. O. Box 359, Charles Town, WV 25414.

NPDES Permit Number: WV0022349

The city of Charles Town plans to modify an existing 1.2 million gallons per day wastewater treat plant to 1.75 mgd and discharge to Evitts Run to the Shenandoah River. The latitude is 39^o 16' 44" and the longitude is 77^o 51' 24" It is located in Charles Town, Jefferson County.

Please fax, mail or e-mail any comments on the draft permit to the address below, postmarked on or before November 8, 2004. Comments may include a request for a public hearing. A hearing may be held if DEP finds a significant degree of public interest, or if the hearing would clarify issues.
